Iran: Three Writers Summoned to Evin Prison


ICBHR– Three writers were reportedly summoned to the Execution of the Warrants Department at Tehran notorious Evin prison on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, to serve a total 15-year prison term.

The appeal court confirmed the total 15-year imprisonment against Baktash Abtin, Reza Khandan Mahabadi, and Keywan Bazhan one month ago.

The writers, who are the member of Iran’s Writers Association, were convicted on the bogus charges of “propaganda against the regime”, “assembly and collusion against national security” at the Islamic Revolutionary Court, chaired by the infamous Judge Mohammad Moghiseh.
