Last night, wardens brutally beat imprisoned cyber-activist Hamidreza Amini (Ariyo Barzan) in a raid of Ward 8,  located in Tehran’s notorious Evin prison.

The activist was reportedly sentenced to 12 years in prison for cyber-activism. The sentence was issued at the Islamic Revolutionary Court, chaired by the infamously machiavellian Judge Salavati.

According to Amad News Daily, Mr. Amini was insulted and threatened by the ward officer on Monday night, December 10, 2018. Subsequently, the officer tried to beat the activist, and ultimately threatened to exile the prisoner to another prison after he was alienated by fellow inmates.

Mr. Amini has also been deprived of the rights to visit or call relatives and his bed was removed, reducing him to sleep on the ground.
