Iran poorest province hit by worst drought
Iran has a chronic shortage of water. It is estimated there is some form of drought in 97 percent of the country.
ICBHR: Sistan and Bluchistan, the largest country's province, faces worst drought in the past 12 months, 11.5 times more than the same period last year.
"100% of the province faces a total drought, and, 50% of the area suffers from a severe drought", ISNA quoted officials.
Sistan and Baluchestan is experiencing one of the driest years in the past half century.
