Iran: Lawsuit against imprisoned lawyer sent to court

The lawsuit against the imprisoned human rights lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh has been referred to the Islamic Revolutionary Court.

The lawsuit was sent to Branch 28 of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary, chaired by Judge Moghiseh, said her lawyer Payam Derafshan.

Ms. Sotoudeh was accussed of membership in Legam Campaign (which works against death penalty). She was faced another charges because of a complaint by Kashan court's interrogator, according to the laywer, Amad News quoted Iran International TV.

She serves her five-year imprisonment for alleged espionage.

The human rights lawyer was arrested by security forces on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
