Iran: Intrauniversalism Believer Sentenced to Prison and Lashes


ICBHR– Amir Hossein Mirkhalili, one of the supporters of Intrauniversalism founded by Taheri, was sentenced to 13 years in prison and 74 lashes.

Tehran Revolutionary Court issued the verdict for the supporter of Interuniversal Mysticism for alleged charges of “acting against national security”, “propaganda against the regime”, and “disturbing public opinion through spreading false news.” The court chaired by infamous Judge Mohammad Moghiseh.

The verdict was sent out by Branch 28 of the court on Monday, February 24, 2020.

According to Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, the imprisoned believer, who is currently being kept at Tehran notorious Evin prison, should serve just 10 years of sentences if the appeal court confirmed the conviction.
