Iran: Four Women Activists Sentenced to Prison

ICBHR– Four women activists were allegedly summoned to serve imprisonment which was issued by Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court, chaired by infamous Judge Iman Afshari.

The Islamic court sentenced the activists to a total of 16 years and eight months in prison, ICBHR was informed.

According to Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, they will just serve two years and three months in prison each.

The activists Nahid Shaghaghi, Akram Nasirian, Maryam Mohammadi, and Asrin Darkaleh were reportedly summoned to serve the imprisonment.

The Islamic court held trial of them on the bogus charges of “assembly and collusion for alleged disturbing national security” on Wednesday, Dec 4, 2019.
